The Social Work Students' Association – Lethbridge (SWSA-Leth) is the official club for social work students in the BSW and MSW programs at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Social Work (FSW) Lethbridge Campus. The FSW Lethbridge Campus is located at the University of Lethbridge in E block of University Hall.

SWSA Mural Complete
April, 19, 2014
After months of deliberation, application, and collaboration, the new SWSA-Leth wall mural in the U of L tunnel was finally completed, on April 18, 2014. Thank you to Jerry for design and outline and to Kirsten for arranging painters, Allysha, Basia, Marleea, and Megan F.
SWSA Conference
March 7, 2014
The first official SWSA Conference: Alberta was a success with a day of speakers, tours , greetings, fun and food. Students from both the 3rd year and 4th year enjoyed shared time and networked with other social work students at the U of C. Much was learned about graduate studies, social work courses and convocation. There was even a discussion on veggie burgers and bacon - ya had to be there.
International Fundraiser for African Family
March 6, 2014
SWSA-Leth hosted a silent auction at the Social Work Forum March 5th to raise funds for an African family supporting orphaned children. The event was a great success, raising about $1,800. Thank you to all our sponsors and to those who participated.
SWSA-Leth AGM 2014
January 25, 2014
The SWSA-Leth AGM was a success, with 21 participants from 3rd and 4th year student representation and a full board present. The newly developed SWSA bi-laws were approved and some great initiatives were shared. Some highlights are a new SWSA-Leth banner, SWSA Conference in Calgary, fresh wall mural, two great fundraisers earning funds for local families and an international family.

Volunteering at the Lethbridge Homeless Census

Memebers of SWSA had the opportunity to volunteer in the Lethbridge Homeless Census on October 3rd. This is the tenth year for the census, which occurs every October to gather data regarding the status of homelessness in Lethbridge. Both 3rd yr and 4th yr BSW sudents were in attendance.
