The SWSA-Leth Board consists of eight voting board positions and one non-voting advisory position to be filled, as follows:

 

• Maximum 5 - 4th yr BSW students (voting)

• Maximum 3 - 3rd yr BSW students (voting)

• 1 - MSW student (non-voting)

 

Board membership is only for a one-year term. The fourth year students are voted in before April 15 of the calendar year. Third year students are voted in in the fall, with MSW appointment at the start of the program before September 30. The MSW student is selected by the SWSA-Leth board in September/October.

 

The outgoing board stands down upon the completion of election of incoming fourth year board members in April.  The third year students moving into the fourth year act as an interim board until the third year elections held in September.

 

Board members are held to the SWSA-Leth constitution and by-laws, and are engaged with SWSA-Leth’s mission and values.
